Dufferin Island



Dufferin Island - Immediately above the Falls (1 1/2mile) are 10 acres of parkland. You enter from the Niagara Parkway at Burning Springs Hill and make your way past several small islands.

This is a great place to enjoy a picnic and there are trails you can follow around the island.

Fishing is allowed as long as you catch and release the fish.

Numerous Bird Feeding stations ensures a wide variety of birds. .

During the Winter Festival of Lights -mid November to mid January- the scenic drive through the islands is lined with a wide variety of animated lighted displays.

Schedule: Open year round.

Facilities: Open-air picnic tables, fishing, birding, hiking, wheelchair accessible, washrooms
