HAWKSLEY WORKMAN

Sean O'Sullivan Theatre

Friday, March 31, 2006 7:30 PM

Hawksley Workman
Sean O'Sullivan Theatre

“An eccentric Canadian of enormous charisma…the swagger of Bowie, the dynamism of U2, the poetic intimacy of Tom Waits. Hawksley Workman’s quirky yet perfectly crafted songs are charged with emotional and philosophical content and driven home with anthemic sing-along choruses.” (The Daily Telegram)

Experience an evening of honest, organic and quirky songs by Hawksley Workman and accompanying pianist, Mr. Lonely. Showcasing mostly pieces from his latest release, Treeful of Starling, Hawksley gets back to his reflective acoustic roots.

Opening the show will be another original and eccentric performer, and one of Hawksley's favourites, John Southworth. According to the New York Press "Southworth can remind you of dozens of great pop artists from the past and sound not like anything you've heard before."
